This Pennsylvania Walnut Slant Top Desk features two-piece construction, with a high gallery supported by turned spindles, a central hinged writing surface which conceals an open interior, resting on a separately framed base with four turned legs which are connected by a simple low box stretcher. This piece is in overall very nice condition, retaining a beautifully patinaed surface. Dates to the mid 19th century. This desk would be a lovely compliment to any office, library, den, or bedroom.
