Antique Carlton House Desk
Antique Carlton House Desk
Expertly crafted by H. Mawer & Stevenson (London), this antique (mid 19th century) Carlton House Desk showcases exquisite marquetry detailing of urns, curtains and phoenix imagery. Two storage areas sit atop the desk, some with working drawers, the others are decorative (faux) and feature bent wood lift tops for stationery and pen storage. Beneath the green leather writing surface, there are two sets of drawers on either side, as well as a deep central drawer. The desk sits atop decorative tapered legs raised on brass castors.
