This handsome, well-built Antique Carved Oak Sideboard with Mirror Backsplash from the late 19th century, features a carved pediment on top of a detailed and carved backsplash with beveled mirror, flanked by a pair of elegantly curved pillars supporting an upper shelf. The base offers generous storage with two smaller drawers over a single large drawer, and a pair of lower doors adorned with carved ornamental wooden elements in relief, and which open to reveal an additional large storage area. Lastly, the piece is supported by carved feet and raised on casters. The mirror and hardware are all original. The mirror and upper backsplash section are attached to the lower base section by rear rails allowing this piece to be disassembled into two pieces for shipping.

CONDITION: The piece is in very good overall condition with wear consistent with age and use including scratches and scuffs. Of note: there is what appears to be a burn mark on the underside of the upper shelf (this may be the result of a candle flame), and a small area of wear to the finish on the top of the base unit. The mirror has some areas of cloudiness, but is free of chips or cracks. Please refer to photos for more details.
