This unique and very rare "Cylinder" drop leaf table in Walnut is an amazing piece. Based on its construction and hardware, it likely dates to the mid-19th century The two solid, one-piece walnut leaves roll up around the central cylinder to create a beautiful 36" square surface. The base is crafted in an empire style, complimenting the overall charm of this table. The table top and base do exhibit some wear and marks consistent with its age but overall, it is in very good condition. While not visible in use, note the detailed photo of the supporting brackets underneath the table, and the way in which they are hinged utilizing custom crafted, intricately hollowed wooden hinges.
