Antique Library Table from Louisiana State University

Rare find!  From Louisiana State University (Geaux Tigers!) This antique (circa 1920's) solid oak table was a part of the Campus Library in Baton Rouge. A sturdy and heavy piece, the table is crafted in an Arts and Crafts style and includes the original black metal caps on the feet, and the LSU inventory tag.  Can be used as a console or sofa table in a living room or den, but will also enhance a study or home office. Since the stretcher base is located only on the sides and back of the table, but not on the front, you can pull up a chair and use the piece as originally intended as a study or worktable.

CONDITION: The table is in very good vintage condition, with wear consistent with age and use, including surface scratches and some areas with minor discoloring, but no losses, gouges or dings. Given the length of the top, a slight bow has developed in the middle of the table, which we feel only adds to its charm.
