This antique Victorian era Metamorphic Dumbwaiter or Butler's Trolley is a remarkable and unique piece. With three tiers, the middle section remains stationary while the top and bottom can be raised or lowered (contemporaneously) and locked into position via a unique "pulley" system. CONDITION: Overall the table is in good condition with wear consistent with its age and use. Of note: repairs have been made to the pulley system allowing the table to operate as intended; the bottom tier has a noticeable bow in it (most evident when the table is in its closed position); there is sun fading on the side of the table, most likely due to the table being left in the open/extended position for many years. Price reflects condition.
