This Italian style Fratino table is a 20th Century interpretation of the historical Fratino tables of Italy and Spain from the early Renaissance period. Uniquely, this table features a heavy, solid wood, Fold-Over top and hinged, Lyre-shaped legs, allowing it to be placed snugly against a wall in a traditional Console table fashion (with a depth of only 15.5"), or used in the fully opened position as a possible dining table (with a depth of 31"). It is very sturdy and well built piece and surprisingly heavy for its size. Overall, this piece is in very fine condition and would make a great addition to any room featuring a Italian countryside or similar design motif.
