This pair of Empire Style Armchairs exude elegance, with their eye-catching curved lines. While we can't pinpoint their age, the construction suggests that they likely date to the early 20th century @1920's. The chairs are substantial with a generous seat and tall back. Arms curve out from the back of the chair and then curve down into a delicate scroll at the front. The chairs are very comfortable, and the upholstery appears to be original. The color is somewhere between a midnight blue and a deep charcoal grey - please see photos which were taken in natural light.

CONDITION: Chairs are in very good vintage condition with wear appropriate for their age and use. There are a couple of small instances of chipped veneer and it appears that the underside of one of the scrolled arms was nicked and then sanded down (see photos). Upholstery is in good condition with no rips, tears or stains.
